Poloolpp’s Top 20 2024

#20 - Twistzz

Although surprisingly underwhelming in Arenas (possibly due to the Liquid effect), Twistzz had an excellent year, even while serving as an IGL.

#19 - w0nderful

NAVI's weakest link, w0nderful has been wonderfully slightly above average, earning his spot on this top 20 list.

#18 - torzsi

Arguably MOUZ's only standout player in Arenas, torzsi ranks above w0nderful thanks to his stronger performances in high-stakes games.

#17 - malbsMd

G2's newest addition (alongside a questionable Polish IGL), malbsMd has been excellent for the team. However, his relatively short tenure of just six months places him a few spots lower.

#16 - Jimpphat

MOUZ's best player, though slightly questionable in Arenas, is still far superior to xertioN.

#15 - Spinx

Although, subjectively, I wouldn't even place him in the top 20, we must consider the numbers, which show that Spinx performs well in low-pressure games. However, when it came to big games, his performance was disappointing.

#14 - ropz

When compared to Spinx, ropz had a worse year on paper, largely absent for nearly half the year. However, ropz made up for it by massively outperforming Spinx on stage, as seen in the Shanghai Major. It’s no wonder he's replacing him in Vitality.

#13 - nertZ

#12 - XANTARES

#11 - EliGE

#10 - b1t

#9 - broky

#8 - frozen

#7 - sh1ro

#6 - flameZ

#5 - jL

NAVI’s best player, and arguably their only star, jL joined the team last year as a surprising addition, especially considering his background with the humble Apeks, where he wasn’t quite on NAVI’s level. However, jL proved himself as a worthy addition, fluking the Copenhagen Major MVP and becoming their most clutch player.

#4 - NiKo

Unc still got it

#3 - ZywOo

With the de facto retirement of s1mple, ZywOo was expected to easily claim first place this year. However, to his dismay, an exceptional rookie emerged, and a significantly improved m0nesy pushed ZywOo down to an easy third place this year.

#2 - m0nesy

Coming in second place, m0nesy defied the odds and appeared to be the only AWPer in CS2 who actually improved.

#1 - donk

Donk burst onto the Tier 1 scene with a bang, destroying FaZe in a 3-0 sweep to win Katowice with the highest MVP rating ever. Although Spirit (and donk by extension) somewhat faltered after this result, they ended the year by defeating FaZe once again, this time in the Major Final, securing donk his first Major win and Major MVP in his rookie year.
